The team at NWUK are delighted to have been recognised for their years of commitment to the creation of a credible ways to deliver exercise that is suitable for any level in any location.

The competition was tough with several key outdoor exercise companies being scrutinised by the judges for UK Active who announced the winners at a Gala Dinner for over 800 Fitness and Physical activity industry representatives.FLAME award

Nordic Walking UK have shown commitment to the development of quality Instructors via the creation of the first ever fitness qualification based on walking plus a number of unique modules from wellbeing to an exercise referral diploma. They have also developed sustainable community outdoor fitness programmes and helped their network of independent Instructors to excel with the help of business training and tools.

Every aspect of their business was reviewed including:-

  • Health & Safety procedures
  • Inspirational programmes & delivery systems
  • Client satisfaction & retention

Judges witnessed a workout walk and a wellbeing class at Moors Valley Country park who are a flagship centre for Nordic Walking with a number of Instructors and leaders.
